Okay, be forewarned. Driving to and around Del Mar can get tricky once the San Diego County Fair comes to the fairground. This year the “Sandpiper” will help you prepare, do I dare say gird your loins, for the tip and tap of cars and buses into our small town.

Friday, June 11
Opening Day of Fair
Traffic is slow and buses appear

Tuesday, June 15
Discount Tuesday and free kids (under 12) day Wow, don’t try to drive on Camino Del Mar today! Avoid going out at all!

Saturdays/Sundays
Weekend guests increase
Drive around the fair prior to 9 am

Tuesdays June 15, 22 and 29
Children 12 and younger are admitted free
This impacts daytime traffic from 9-5 pm. Moms get tired by 5 pm.
