Suzanne Horn.

Mar, CA - February 26,
2009 - The Del Mar Rose
Society will feature
noted exhibitor, speaker
and writer Suzanne Horn
at the February 26th
meeting. Her
presentation is titled "David
Austin and the Romance
of the English Rose".
David
Austin roses are a favorite
among rose lovers. His
emphasis has been on
breeding roses with
the character and fragrance
of Old Garden Roses,
but with the repeat-flowering
ability and wide color
range of modern roses
like hybrid teas and
floribundas. "Austin
Roses" are
commonly referred to
by rosarians, nurseries
and horticultural literature
as "English
Roses".
Ms.
Horn is an avid rose
exhibitor, goring an
average of 450 exhibition
roses of all types. In
addition, she is a Consulting
Rosarian and Horticultural
Judge.
The
meeting kicks off at
7:00pm at the Powerhouse
Community Center, located
at 1658 Coast Blvd.,
Del Mar. The
public and guests are
welcome.

Del Mar Rose Society
provides its members
with continuous education
on the cultivation of
roses, fellowship and
support in growing roses
with programs and special
events throughout the

in 2000, members include
beginner and expert
rose growers. The Society

American rose Society
and welcomes members
in surrounding areas
of Del Mar, including
Solana Beach, Encinitas,
Rancho Santa Fe, Carmel
Valley, La Jolla and
