Guided Nature Hike: Saturday, November 8, 1pm-5pm, Santa Ysabel Open Space Preserve East, off Highway 79 near Santa Ysabel.  Join the San Dieguito River Valley Conservancy and
 explore oak woodland and golden meadows on this 6.5-mile hike.  Bring water, sun protection and be prepared for changing weather.  Reservations required; contact hikes@sdrvc.org or 858-674-2275 x12 for directions and to reserve a space.

10th Annual Community Art & Craft Show: Sunday, November 16, 10am-4pm, Powerhouse Community Center. Sponsored by the Friends of the San Dieguito River Valley, the event offers showcases more than 20 local artists and offers a wide variety of arts and crafts including original hand-made jewelry, acrylic paintings, water colors, pastels, glass & wood creations, mosaics, cards and more.  A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Friends of the San Dieguito River Valley.

Del Mar Historical Society Annual Membership Meeting: Thursday, November 20, 7pm, Powerhouse Community Center.  The romantic thriller, The Heist (1989), will be shown and producer, Rick Rosenberg and writer, William Irish, Jr. will be in attendance to comment on the making of this movie at the Del Mar Race Track.  The event is free to members and donations will be accepted from non-members..
